How do you get started on something you’ve wanted to do for a long time? It feels like the longer you wait, the longer you want, the harder it is to jump in and just do the thing. I know for me personally I get caught up in making everything perfect right away. Knowing what formatting I want to use, getting everything set up, thinking about things that are honestly just too far beyond where I’m at for the moment. Like growth. How am I supposed to grow something that doesn’t even exist yet? I’m going to try a different approach. I don’t want to care about all the polishing yet, I just want to write. I just want to put words on digital paper. Too often I let perfection stop me from ever even starting and I don’t want to live that way anymore.
I have cynical hopes for this. But maybe that’s good. Maybe having small expectations can take off some of the pressure. I just want to write more.
